We're at two markets this weekend! Saturday at Mill City Farmers Market from 8:00am – 1:00pm, and then Sunday at Kingfield Farmers Market from 8:30am – 1:00pm. Let’s plan for some 70-degree and windy-free weather, shall we?

We're a SEMI-FINALIST in the MN CUP!

Dumpling & Strand is in the cups this week – the MN CUP that is! We couldn’t be more delighted, shocked and – let’s be honest – a wee nervous to be included in the list of 10 semi-finalists for the first round of the U of MN Carlson School of Management's accelerator contest. In its 13th year, MN Cup contestants are paired with business mentors and investors to hone in on how to accelerate their businesses growth. From now til mid-August we’re going to be crackin’ the books to build our business plan, a pitch video and presentation to try and secure one of the top 3-finalist positions chosen in September.

Ironically, we're sharing the top 10 roster with our good friend, Scott Dillon of The Twisted Shrub! We not only work alongside Scott at Gia Kitchen (where we both make our product), but he started about the same time we did. We couldn’t be in better company.

Holy cow Mom, we’re going to be in for a wild ride. And all for the love of noodles (and shrubs), no less. We’ll keep you posted on our progress, but most of all … WISH US (BOTH) LUCK!

A WEEKEND OF NOODLES

Man oh man, our birthday celebration last week at Mill City Farmers Market was so great! You all SHOWED UP. We sold a record breaking number of noodles and, because your spinning wheel prowess was so on point, we gave away the farm! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every day included a spinner wheel? We’d all be a little happier for it, I’m certain. We had a blast and want to thank you all again for all your support on year one of this wacky noodle adventure. Onward to year two!

This weekend is our first Kingfield Farmers Market date of the season! You can find us on Saturday at Mill City Farmers Market from 8:00am – 1:00pm, and then Sunday at Kingfield Farmers Market from 8:30am – 1:00pm (we can’t wait to see all our friends again!)

IT'S OUR 1-YEAR BIRTHDAY this weekend at the Market

Throughout life, we all have milestones that feel important to celebrate. Birthdays. First dates. Refrigerator cleaning day. You know, important things. So it goes without saying that Dumpling & Strand’s 1-year anniversary of selling noodles (look at how cute we were on our first day!) is a huge milestone for us. For a lot of reasons. The biggest being that we surpassed any goal/vision/aspiration we had set for ourselves 365 short (long?) days ago. Your support has given us the lift and momentum to get where we are. So we want to celebrate! And to say thank you.

This Saturday at Mill City Farmers Market, from 8am – 1pm, we’ll be celebrating with giveaways (awesome local foods you can pair with our strands – Cherry Tree House Mushrooms, Red Table Meat Pancetta, Cosmic Wheel Creamery Cheese, Twisted Shrub cocktail mixer, to name a few), free packs of noodles, discounts, a MCFM membership and more. All in all a day full of silly fun, good cheer and, best of all, you! Of course, we’ll have all our favorite noodles for sale as well. Plan to come early … you know how fast they go!
